Understand the usage terms

These definitions explain the units and abbreviations used in the plan comparison below.

STTSpeech-to-text
The service that converts processed event audio into written captions. Plans meter STT by transcription minute.
TTSText-to-speech
The standard spoken-caption workflow that creates audio from translated caption text. Usage is metered in successful, uncached spoken-caption characters.
LL-TTSLow-latency text-to-speech
A more continuous audio-to-audio translated-speech workflow than standard spoken captions. It is included with Scale and Enterprise.
BYOKBring your own key
The Enterprise control for using your organization’s own supported provider keys alongside API and webhook integrations.
Viewer-minuteHuman interpreter video viewing time
One audience viewer receiving the human ASL interpreter video feed for one minute. This measures platform delivery, not interpreter staffing. For example, 10 viewers watching for 10 minutes use 100 viewer-minutes.

Plan examples

Match a plan to your event workflow

These examples show how published plan limits can map to common production sizes. Actual transcription, translation, spoken-caption, and human-interpreter video usage is measured separately.

Free

Short rehearsal or small session

A team can test one live event at a time with one operator, 30 shared transcription minutes, 2 languages per event, 50 concurrent viewers per event, and up to 3 saved events.

Translation and spoken-caption character allowances still apply.

Pro

Single-room multilingual production

Pro fits a team that needs remote control and production outputs with 300 shared transcription minutes, 10 languages per event, 500 concurrent viewers per event, and up to 3 live events at once.

Pro also includes its published human-interpreter video viewing and delivery allowances; interpreter staffing is separate.

Scale

Multi-speaker or higher-capacity program

Scale adds multi-speaker and LL-TTS workflows with 1,000 shared transcription minutes, unlimited languages and concurrent live events, and 2,500 concurrent viewers per event.

Scale includes 3 Extended Screens and 3 Remote Control sessions.

Enterprise

Contracted production requirements

Enterprise is the contract path for tailored usage, capacity, languages, screens, remote sessions, security, integrations, deliverables, and priority support.

The agreement defines the limits and commercial terms.

Wallet and overage

What happens after included usage runs out

1. Track usage

The Billing page shows the organization’s current usage and remaining monthly allowance.

2. Get a warning

The dashboard warns the team as an included allowance approaches its limit.

3. Use configured overage

Eligible metered services can continue from a funded organization wallet when overage is configured.

Without available wallet funding, the affected service can pause until funding or a new monthly allowance is available. Overage applies only to eligible metered services and must be configured.

Pricing questions

Everything you need to plan with confidence.

Understand seats, shared allowances, usage metering, plan changes, and Enterprise delivery before your first production.

How is 4ALL LIVE priced?
Free is $0. Pro and Scale are priced per billable organization member, while included usage and production capacity are pooled once across the organization. Public audience viewers do not occupy paid seats.
Is the Free plan time-limited?
No. Free remains $0 and includes 30 transcription minutes, 25K translation characters, and 10K spoken-caption characters each month, within the plan’s event, language, and viewer limits.
Do allowances multiply when I add operators?
No. The organization receives one pooled monthly allowance for transcription, translation, spoken captions, and other included usage. Adding seats changes the subscription cost, not the size of those allowances.
Are audience viewers charged as seats?
No. Public viewers join through the audience experience without consuming billable member seats. Each plan still sets the maximum number of concurrent viewers allowed for each live event.
What happens when my team size changes?
Adding a billable member updates the paid seat quantity with the applicable proration. Seat reductions are scheduled for the next billing period, so the current paid commitment is not reduced mid-cycle.
How does yearly billing work?
Pro is $290 per billable member per year and Scale is $790 per billable member per year. Both save 17% compared with paying monthly, while included usage allowances continue to reset every month.
Can I change plans or billing intervals later?
Yes. The Billing page shows the price and timing before confirmation. Upgrades and moves from monthly to yearly billing can create an immediate proration; lower-cost changes do not create a mid-cycle refund or credit.
When do included allowances reset?
Included transcription, translation, spoken-caption, and other public-plan usage allowances reset monthly. The Billing page shows current usage and the remaining allowance for the active organization.
What counts toward transcription minutes?
Transcription usage measures audio processed by the speech-to-text service. It is separate from audience viewing time, translation characters, spoken-caption characters, and human-interpreter video delivery.
How are translation and spoken captions measured?
Translation tracks generated translated characters across the organization’s active target languages. Spoken captions track successful, uncached text-to-speech characters. Both are separate from transcription minutes.
What happens when included usage runs out?
The dashboard warns as an allowance approaches its limit. Eligible metered services can continue from a funded organization wallet when overage is configured; without available funding, the affected service can pause until funding or allowance is available.
What do the ASL allowances include?
The allowances cover the 4ALL human ASL interpreter video workflow and video delivery, not interpreter staffing. Free has no included allowance; Pro includes 1,000 viewer-minutes and 14 GB of delivery, while Scale includes 5,000 viewer-minutes and 70 GB. Enterprise platform-delivery allowances are defined by contract. The event or its interpretation partner arranges qualified interpreters separately.
How are the desktop production apps licensed?
4ALL XPression Bridge, 4ALL Encoder, and 4ALL Signal are downloaded from the desktop apps page. Active device-license capacity is shown in Billing and can come from plan entitlements, add-ons, or an Enterprise agreement.
What happens if I cancel a paid plan?
Self-service cancellation schedules the organization to move to Free when the current paid period ends. Saved events and configurations are retained, but paid features and capacity stop when the change takes effect. Active desktop assignments may need to be revoked first.
What can be tailored with Enterprise?
Enterprise can define usage, audience capacity, languages, screens, remote sessions, security, API and webhooks, bring-your-own provider keys, branding, deliverables, payment terms, and priority support in one contract.
